Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Karatu/Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where your safari guide will greet you and provide a brief orientation. Enjoy a scenic 3.5–4 hour transfer to Karatu, a peaceful highland town on the edge of Ngorongoro. Check in at your lodge to relax after your flight. If time permits, take a short visit to Arusha town to explore local markets and enjoy your first taste of Tanzanian culture.
