Ruaha National Park

Tanzania’s Untamed Heart of Wilderness

Summary

Ruaha National Park is one of Tanzania’s largest and most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries, covering over 20,226 square kilometers. Located in the heart of the country, Ruaha is celebrated for its diverse landscapes — from sweeping savannahs and baobab-dotted plains to rocky escarpments and river valleys.
The park is home to Tanzania’s largest elephant population and supports an incredible concentration of predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and endangered African wild dogs. With over 570 recorded bird species, Ruaha is also a haven for birdwatchers, attracting migratory species from Europe, Australia, and across Africa.
Ruaha’s peaceful atmosphere, varied terrain, and authentic safari experience make it ideal for travelers seeking both adventure and tranquility in an unspoiled setting.
