Nje Bush Camp

Authentic Safari Camp in Western Tanzania

WELCOME TO NJE BUSH CAMP

Nestled in the remote “Serengeti Ndogo” area of Nyerere National Park, Nje Bush Camp offers guests the rare feeling of being completely alone in the wilderness. Our secluded location ensures privacy from other camps and vehicles, allowing guests to connect deeply with nature in a peaceful, intimate setting.

Few views compare to the beauty of a river bend. During the dry season, the Behobeho River reveals sweeping sandbanks, while in the wet season, a lush green island forms at its centre. These ever-changing landscapes, combined with frequent wildlife sightings, make every stay at Nje Bush Tented Camp truly memorable.

The seasonal Behobeho River plays a vital role in attracting wildlife. Located near the Behobeho Hills and a large hippo pool approximately 2.6 km away, the area regularly hosts sightings of lions, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, wild dogs, hyenas, elands, impalas, and, of course, hippos.

ROOM/TENT DETAILS

Exclusive Tented Accommodation

Set along the scenic Behobeho Seasonal Riverbed, Nje Bush Camp is an exclusive camp ideal for families and small groups of friends. With just five spacious, well-spaced tents, all overlooking the riverbed, the camp offers the perfect base from which to explore East and Central Africa’s largest national park.

Each tent is elegantly designed in a minimalist glamping style, offering comfort, privacy, and an authentic bush atmosphere. Accommodation features king/queen-size or twin beds, bedside tables, reading lamps, solar lighting, and fans. Mosquito-netted doors and windows allow a refreshing breeze while keeping insects at bay.

The en-suite bathroom features an open-to-the-sky shower and toilet, as well as shaving mirrors, washstands, and eco-friendly toiletries, ensuring comfort without compromising sustainability.
